About the artist

Heavily influenced by their experiences as a first-generation American growing up in the Jewish diaspora in NYC, Miki's work explores the themes of identity, ethnic and cultural heritage, queerness, and the role of the body in these concepts.

Miki's process pulls from their background in classical painting, textiles, and computational art to engage with translation in all its forms and the interplay of “old” and “new” culture and media.
